I managed to clean off a small area on our kitchen table. Admire it while you can because it will soon disappear, lol.

Photos 47-50/365 Happy 5th Birthday G!

In case you can't tell, there was a bounce house at little G's birthday party. See those Dr. Seuss hats? His mom made 31 of them for the kids. Now that's a dedicated mom!

It cracked me up that all the kids knew what these were and wanted them.

Thing 1 and Thing 2 (or are they Thing 2 and Thing 1?).

The aftermath of the party, lol.

Mr. Fix-it thinks these Kleenex boxes look like scrapbook paper. I agree.

Our belated Valentine's gift to each other. We're still experimenting with coffees to find our favorites. It isn't the most ecologically sound thing we've done since the K-cups are plastic, but we try to save the planet in other ways.

Too much stuff

I finally figured out what the new building by the freeway will be...another store-it-yourself place. I couldn't figure out what kind of business would open at that location because the lot is an odd shape and difficult to get in to/out of. Guess if you're storing stuff, you don't need to get to it very often.

Really, how many storage places does the world need? I pass three on the way to work. That's three right off the freeway that I can see. Who knows how many I pass that are a block or two off the freeway. Who uses these places? I understand if you're in between places or moving far away temporarily, but who else needs them? Do people really have that much stuff? Wouldn't it be better to get rid of stuff than to store it? But who am I to talk. I can't get rid of anything. At least I haven't had to rent a storage place.

A sad sign of the times. It looks like the owners ran out of money in the middle of their remodel. Still, the house will be a good deal for someone who doesn't mind doing a little work. Plus, I'm just one street over.

Photo 43/365 Webkinz

Another Webkinz for my collection from my friend S. Mr. Fix-it thinks the animals are taking over the computer table, lol.

My card from Mr. Fix-it, the card I made for him, and breakfast that me made me. Awwwww!

The lariet necklace my cousin made for me. I got compliments on it the first day I wore it.

$2.19

I don't like the direction gas prices are heading. Good thing I'm gonna carpool a couple days this week.

This caused my friend S to hyperventilate when I called her to let her know the price. She asked me to pick up two for her, lol.

Every few years I splurge and make Chex mix. It is a pretty expensive snack to make, both cost and calorie-wise. Everyone at work likes it, so at least half the batch goes there.

A bit of hope that the storm is over (it rained again that night).

How I'm trying to keep warm. I need some new flavors of tea.

We finally opened a new bottle of dish soap. This bottle goes with the whole going "green" movement, kind of. Somehow, I don't of large corporations as green.

PSA - Back up your photos

Anyone who has a computer knows you're supposed to back up important information. And anyone who takes digital photos knows you're supposed to back up your photos. And I thought I did. Obviously, I can't find my photos and I'm just sick about it. I'm okay with no having them, but I promised copies to someone and now I can't come through.

I know I printed some of the photos (but I can't find them now, of course), so I assumed I copied them to my hard drive. But I can't find them. So maybe I used my PictureMate to print them, which doesn't involve the computer.

I looked on my work computer, I looked on my home computer, I looked on every memory card I have. I even downloaded a recovery program and ran it on every card I have. But no luck.

So before deleting photos from your memory card, be sure you've copied them to at least two different places. I never thought I'd be the one giving this PSA.

Beauty experiment

When I bought my make-up last month, I received some lotion and "serum" samples. I'm a sucker for any lotion that's been rebranded as serum. I dunno. I guess it sounds more scientific so maybe it will work better, lol. I've been using the samples on one side of my face and my regular moisturizer on the other side. Mr. Fix-it thought the side with the samples looked better. My co-worker thought the other side looked more moisurized. Hmmmm, still trying to decide if I should spring the big bucks for more serum. Too bad wrinkles and age spots aren't in fashion.

Photo 31/365 food

All that's left after a day of blood, sweat, and tears. Well, actually, there wasn't any sweat, just a bit of blood from when I cut my finger and tears when Mr. Fix-it finished chopping the onions for me. I (we) made five quarts, gave three away, and then had soup for dinner.

The girls are getting really good at using utensils.

Backyard color. I never pay too much attention to this Christmas catus so I'm always pleasantly surprised when it blooms.

Not a new interior design statement. It's to prevent the twins from climbing onto the counter.
