100 things challenge, round 2

You may remember my recent 100 things challenge. I didn't get rid of as much as I hoped, but I am still happy with the results. So I'm starting it again. I was going to wait till next month (only four more days from now), but since we got rid of two big things today, I thought I'd start the challenge again.

To recap, get rid of 100 things in 100 days. Starting now, ending Tuesday, March 6, 2012. One thing a day, or 10 things every week or so. Remember, there's only one rule. To count, it has to out of the house. It can't be in the donate box, it can't be in the Craig's List/ebay box. With the end of the year coming soon, you may want to considering donating for tax purposes. I recommend not waiting until the last minute since donation sites get pretty crowded the last week of the year.

Here's what we got rid of today (okay, what Mr. Fix-it got rid of, gotta give credit where credit is due):

1 clay extruder
1 clay rolling pin

total gone 2/100

Good deal. Maybe I need to join you to get back on track.

Sharon, I hope you'll join me. Even if you don't get rid of 100 things, getting some clutter out is better than nothing.

great idea. I'm joining you ... we are moving summer 2012 and I need to de-clutter by then

I'm going to accept your challenge on TWO fronts, my home and my office. Both places really need this. Thanks for the motivation.

I seem to be working toward my very own episode of Hoarders so this would probably be a good idea. My paper stuff is everywhere, and now that I'm teaching and trying to make more cards (yes! me!) I spend lots of time hunting for stuff because I am not disciplined enough to figure in the time to actually un-collect (uh, re-file?) stuff I pull for various reasons. You know, you grab some red print paper out of Valentines and out of July 4th to use for something not holiday-related, and then it takes a while to get it back. I know I keep orange mostly with Halloween stuff, but it may be with summer stuff, and it definitely WILL be if it goes with patterned paper that is summery. Sigh. Just another kind of procrastination, however well-intended!

My wife and I are conspiring to get rid of many of the toys in the basement that the kids no longer play with. We just to have to sort the donate-worthy from the trash-worthy, then sneak them away.
